Hey, hey! Here's a little synopsis of ~*me*~

​

I am the last of 6 children (massive family),  a makeup lover, and my beautiful pitbull Kitty. Academically, I am a first-generation student and an intersectional minority in STEM. I have obtained my B.S. in Biochemistry with a double minor in Public Health and Environmental Geosciences from Texas A&M University. 

 

Currently, I am pursuing an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Sustainable Chemistry at Yale University.

I spend my free time Netflixing, baking, and volunteering with nonprofits, assisting underserved and under-represented groups in overcoming barriers in STEM.

​

Over the last four years, I have strived to be an impactful representative that creates an identifiable presence of achievement within my community. Initially, I did not believe my voice was strong enough to be echoed. Now, I aim to take up space, owning my role as a leader in STEM and environmental stewardship and, more importantly, being intentional about it. 

​

So let's start the conversation! Besties, we will discuss numerous topics: my love for fashion, the neurodivergent Ph.D. journey, living with severe anxiety and depression, combatting imposter syndrome, and championing environmental justice, to name a few; without the harsh elements of politics, shame, and the patriarchy of course.
